I work in politics in real life, so it’s only fair that I state some interests here – don’t want people accusing me of being unfair or biased.
I will write about my current employers, the Labour Party. I’ll be biased about the Labour Party. If you don’t like it, feel free not to read. I’m currently Campaign Manager, Ireland East, for Labour’s European Elections effort in 2009. I’m also vice-chair of the Dublin South East Labour Party, involved in the campaign of Cllr Dermot Lacey, and I ran Ruairi Quinn‘s general election campaign in 2007. So, I’ll be particularly biased about them.
I’m a member of or otherwise involved in the following groups and organisations, so if I’m writing about them, just presume I’m biased rather than demanding I be impartial:
- Labour Party (Ireland)
- New Democratic Party of Canada
- European Movement Ireland
- Irish Alliance for Europe
- Amnesty International (Ireland)
- Irish Congress of Trades Unions Youth Committee
- Unite (AMICUS originally)
- Irish Radio Transmitters’ Society (IRTS)
For the sake of completeness, former employers include the following:
None of the opinions on here are those of my employer, my political parties, any group I’m a member of or even me at times. Don’t take it personally.
