MBA Decision – It’s Vancouver
As of five minutes ago, I’m officially a student at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver.
I’ll be doing the MBA course at the Sauder School of Business there starting in late August (with the pre-course stuff starting in early August). It’s a great course, and I’m really looking forward both to it, and to living in Vancouver. I’ll even get two weeks off for the 2010 Winter Olympics, which is nice.
Thanks to all those who’ve helped with the applications, advice, etc. It’s much appreciated.
Go Thunderbirds!

I can’t comment on the one you have chosen, but it’s a good thing you have avoided Smurfit. It never ceases to amaze me that it gets rated as one of the top colleges when the quality of the graduates it produces is so abysmal. They seem to take anyone, and never fail people either. A friend with 20 years in global finance said to me the other day that she was teaching 3 of them on a financial analysis course and “I had to start further back than I would with a so called complete beginner”.
Best avoided at all costs.
